Koishihama Station, Sanriku Railway Company's Minami-Rias Line
Koishihama Station overlooks the sea and is a station on the Sanriku Railway Minami-Rias Line located in Sanrikucho, Ofunato City. The name originally contained the Chinese characters for "small-stone beach", but was changed to the Chinese characters for "beach of yearning", both similarly pronounced, in 2009. Fittingly for that name, prayers of love can be written on small wooden plaques and hung in the waiting room. After making your wish on the wooden plaque, please ring the "Bell of Happiness" on the platform.
