World Natural Heritage Site, Shirakami-Sanchi

With trails such as the "Buna Kyoboku Fureai-no-Michi" that runs through a forest of giant 300-year-old beech trees, and the "Anmon-no-Taki Falls" trail that visits three large waterfalls, Shirakami-Sanchi has one of the world's largest primeval beech forests and was registered as a World Natural Heritage Site in 1993.

- Take the JR Ou Line to Hirosaki.
From the no. 6 bus stop in front of Hirosaki Station, take the Konan Bus for approximately 90 minutes and get off at Aqua Green Village ANMON. (3 buses a day) (Runs only from June to November) 
- Take the JR Ou Line to Hirosaki.
