A Japanese-style garden built by the Ikeda family, one of the three greatest landowners in the Tohoku region. Be surprised and moved by Japan's tallest large-scale three-legged stone lantern at approximately 4m in height. Also designated as one of Japan's National Scenic Places of Beauty, the foliage in the autumn here is worth seeing.

Combination tour with the nearby Ancient Wall of Hotta, a nationally-designated historical site is highly recommended. The wall is said to be the ruins of a government office built in the early Heian period.
