Zao Juhyo (Snow Monsters)
The Zao Juhyo (Snow Monsters) are formed from a unique weather condition, where seasonal winds from Siberia collect moisture from the Sea of Japan, which then sticks to the Aomori white fir trees and freezes there. It is a magnificent and delicate natural work of art born from the interweaving of ice and snow. You can enjoy the views of the vast expanse of Juhyo from the ropeway, or see them illuminated at night.
